Me in My Hick Days

Ruth found a piece of wood to chew on (the picture on the right). We figured it would add more fiber to her diet, so we let her chew on it.

Ruth is SO much fun these days! She now has all four front teeth, and she's working on the two on either side of her top two. She likes to "help" Mommy when she is cooking or peeling veggies by standing on her bucket, and holding on to the sink. Yes, she has had a tumble or two, but she gets right back up and tries again! Would that make her stubborn? I wonder who she got that from!?!?!??!?

I do so enjoy my Little Girl! She brings me SO much joy!

Garden Update

As you can see, things are kind of going well with our plants. I can't wait until one of our flowers actually bloom! Unfortunately, you may have noticed in the front section, that half of it is still dark brown with no leafy plants in it...obviously Josh and I were not meant to be able to grow mint or oregano :'( We have momentarily given up, and we planted some sprouting red onions and garlic there instead.

It's been a while

I know...I haven't been around to add more stuff. Thanks to those of you who check back anyway!

This is my March pregnancy picture. I am carrying lower, I think, than last time.

I had my first real trauma with Ruth yesterday. I have gotten used to her stubbornly falling off of our bed, but she hasn't done it in a while, and definitely not with blood.

Ruth fell off the bed yesterday - quite hard - and cut behind her top left tooth. She also chipped a corner off of her bottom left tooth. Very traumatic - for Mama! After Ruth quit crying a and took a nap, she woke up as if nothing had happened. Sheesh! I blame the Larson (mostly Parker) pain tolerance level!

By the way, we are finally growing more than weeds in our little garden! I was told that we have marigold type flowers growing in the flower garden, and dill and garlic chives in the veggie part!

Papa and Fig Bars

When I went visiting in Ohio, I met my Papa and Grammy Taylor. Papa had these cool little rectangles with a cookie on the outside and fruity stuff on the inside. The first time he fed them to me, he gave me one little bite at a time.
Then once while we were there, I think my Mommy or Daddy gave me one 'cause I was hungry. And I ate the WHOLE thing all by myself. Now I am an old pro at eating these nice snacks!
Last Saturday, Dad gave me a fig bar after we put all the dirt in the planters, and I was SO hungry, I ate all of the fig bar and didn't get any on the floor!

Only a Week Late

Ruth helping Daddy with the soil on Saturday.
Ruth helping Mommy move some dirt to put the flowers in on Sunday (3/4/07).
Ruth, after making sure the dirt still tasted NASTY, lost interest in working, and decided to play with the deck.

Well, we finally did it! Our plants are in the dirt, and within a week or two, we will hopefully have Oregano, Mint, Dill and Garlic Chives in one planter, and a whole slew of flowers in the other (see other post to know what kinds).
